The Crazies: new trailer released
Simon Brew
The remake of George A Romero’s The Crazies is arriving in February. And there’s now a brand new trailer for it…
Published on Dec 14, 2009
Contributing to a very busy February for cinemas (Shutter Island, The Wolfman, Cop Out) is the remake of George A Romero's The Crazies. This time around, Timothy Olyphant will taking on lead duties as the sheriff of a small town that gradually finds itself infected, and thus cut off from the rest of the world.
So what's infecting the town's inhabitants, and pretty much turning them insane? That's what the Sheriff of Ogden Marsh has to find out, no doubt, with a culturally diverse collection of survivors in tow.
The remake is being directed by Sahara helmer Breck Eisner, and the second trailer for the film has just been released into the world. Truthfully, it's not the kind of promo that gets you checking your social calendar on release day - do we have to have daft editing effects smacked in our direction so often? - but we've not got long to wait to see if the final film fares any better. It's out on 26th February in both the US and the UK.
