As Twilight New Moon begins to descend back to earth after reining in some scarily high box office numbers, attention is inevitably - for fans of the franchise - starting to turn towards next year's third cinematic entry in the franchise, Eclipse.

We already know that Eclipse is in the can, and is in post-production under the eye of director David Slade (who won't, we understand, be returning to round the saga off with Breaking Dawn). We're also expecting pictures of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart looking at each other to be released en masse across the months ahead.

In the meantime, there's a first, very basic teaser poster for the film that's been released, and the news has come through that an IMAX edition of the film will be released too. This is increasingly common, ever since the format helped the likes of The Polar Express and The Dark Knight rake in an awful lot of extra cash.

No matter that Eclipse wasn't actually shot with IMAX in mind, of course. Instead, the film will be remastered for the much bigger screen. If ever you wanted to see Mr Pattinson blown up to ridiculous big sizes, then you might want to circle 30th June in your diary...
