The Muppets Bohemian Rhapsody to be released as single

From the TV and movie screen and back into the music charts: The Muppets are releasing Bohemian Rhapsody as a single…
Published on Dec 9, 2009
You remember a week or two back when we pointed you in the direction of The Muppets singing the Queen classic Bohemian Rhapsody. It's been one of the most heavily watched YouTube clips of the past month, and quite rightly so, simply because it's brilliant.
And what's more, with over 9 million viewings notched up, record label EMI has now decided to have a go at releasing it as a single. It looks like it's going to be rushed out onto the UK market in time for Christmas too, but the wise money suggests it's not got any chance of getting near the number one spot. That's going to go to whoever wins the tedium-fest that is this year's X-Factor.
The Muppets, according to William Hill, are 25/1 to claim the top spot. But, what the heck, we'll be doing our bit and buying a copy.
And, hopefully, this will be the start of a long-overdue Muppets revival, what with Jason Segel working on a new big screen adventure for them. We might even get Muppet Christmas Carol in high definition next year, and perhaps Muppets Tonight might even make it onto DVD, too.
Well, you can hope.
In case you missed it the first time, here's the video of Bohemian Rhapsody once more...
