Season Of The Witch trailer

Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman join forces, as we get the first trailer for Season Of The Witch…
Published on Nov 24, 2009
We know what you're wondering. How long is it until Nicolas Cage turns up as some batshit-crazy character? It's been a lot of months now since Knowing came out, where he convincingly played Nicolas Cage in a manner that would put other actors to shame. And when the casting call for Season Of The Witch came in, with the character description ‘Nicolas Cage in a big woolly coat', there was surely nobody better to call.
Hence, we arrive at the first trailer for Season Of The Witch, which also features the simply brilliant Ron Perlman. To be fair, the trailer doesn't make the film look particularly distinctive, but we're suckers for Nicolas Cage movies such as these, so it's not a tricky ticket to sell to us.
Interestingly, the film is directed by Dominic Sena, who helmed Whiteout, which came out earlier this year, in spite of being filmed some time before that. However, you're more likely to know him for his pair of action hits at the start of the decade: Gone In Sixty Seconds and Swordfish, both of which we really quite like.
Anyway, here's what he's up to now, and Season Of The Witch is set for release on 19 March 2010.
