Date Night trailer

Steve Carell and Tina Fey star in next year's Date Night, a comedy for which you can see the first trailer here!

We love Steve Carell. And when it comes to comedy actresses, Tina Fey is pretty much peerless in our eyes right now. So the idea of two of them coming together for Date Night is an exciting one. The film is being directed by Shawn Levy, the man behind the camera for the Night At The Museum films, and will hopefully maximise the talents of the very funny two stars.
The problem, though, is that the premise seems a little bit, well, not too strong. A married couple are stuck in a routine. They have their regular date night. One week, they go to a posher place than usual, and thanks to a case of mistaken identity, comedy ensues. Hmmm.
That doesn’t sound like the ingredients for gold to us, but then both Carell and Fey have proven in the past that they can weave laughs (er, not the best analogy, but bear with us) out of the slightest of premises. Here's hoping the end product transcends the concept thus far!
To give you a taster of what’s around the corner, the first trailer for the movie has now been released, and you can catch it just below. The movie itself is out in April, and here’s hoping it delivers the goods...
