American Pie 7: The Book Of Love trailer

Er, isn’t it time to pull the plug on this franchise? That’d be a yes, if the trailer to American Pie 7 is anything to go by…

Just how far has this franchise fallen? A couple of years after the last crappy straight to DVD movie, Universal has stoked up the American Pie franchise for a fourth straight to DVD movie. It's arriving in December, and if it's like the three DVD movies beforehand, then it'll have a) a terrible script, b) naked women and c) you reaching for the remote control long before the credits roll.
There's one thing that keeps us interested in these films, though, and that's the mighty Eugene Levy. He's the only person to have featured in all seven American Pie movies, including this one. And even though he's only been appearing in brief cameo roles in the recent films, the producers have wisely filled the trailer with as much of him as they can get. Plus there's some nudity too, so no peaking at this one if you're under 18. It's naughty.
Don't worry if you don't like this one. American Pie 8 will probably be along next year. And don't forget to check out our look at American Pie: ten years later right here.
