Shutter Island: the latest trailer

Martin Scorsese directs Leonard DiCaprio to Shutter Island, and the latest trailer shows it’s not a safe place to visit…

"It's like they're scared of something."
It's a bit of a day for new trailers, with this, Avatar and Alice In Wonderland all getting new promos for us to devour. Shutter Island, however, is a film that we'd already hoped to have seen by now, given that it was originally scheduled for release this month, before Paramount knocked it back to next February. Quite a crowded next February too, what with The Wolfman, A Couple Of Dicks, The Crazies and the usual crowd of Valentine's romantic comedies queuing up.
But Shutter Island, directed by Martin Scorsese from the book by Dennis Lehane, should comfortably find space for itself. It's the first time, as we've noted before, that Scorsese has returned to the thriller genre since his Cape Fear remake in the early 90s, and this latest trailer doesn't dampen our interest in the film one bit. Could it be that we'll have seen one of the finest films of 2010 just two months into it? Here's hoping.
