Re: The Expendables news updateThis movie is going to melt my eyes and probably my whole face with how awesome it will be. It won't be a good movie, make no mistake about that. It will just be face-meltingly enjoyable. Bring. It. On. | |
Re: The Expendables news updateThose 3 "stars" together have one good film that is not yet another sequal hanging on the coat-tails of past glories in the last decade, that is Sin City in which BW was hardy the star. Arnie has not had a decent film for 15 years (True Lies) and for Stallone it is 12 years since Copland.
I'll wait for DVD thanks.

The Expendables news update
Simon Brew
Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone have shot THAT scene for the upcoming The Expendables…
Even though we have to wait until next August to see it, courtesy of a decision from its distributor over where it'll make the most money, our excitement for The Expendables remains absolutely unabated.
Earlier this month, we got the first proper trailer for the film, which shoehorned in as many action movie stars as it possibly could in a cynical and hugely appreciated attempt to make our geekbumps even bigger.
And now, there's even bigger news: what could be the defining scene of the film has now been shot. Last weekend, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone came together to shoot their much-publicised scene together. Sly, Arnie and The Willis all in the same action movie is one thing. All in the same scene is enough to tip us over the edge.
The scene itself was comfortably shot in a day, although no images of this action movie equivalent of De Niro and Pacino's coffee shop meet in Heat have yet surfaced. They will in time, though. We can feel them coming.
Finally, for now at least, there are a couple of new images from the film. It's our pleasure to bring them to you.
The Expendables will be arriving next August. We'll be telling you that a lot in the months ahead, though.
