Emma Thompson returns, as the first trailer for Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang is released…

"I hear you've been naughty."
Here's a sequel we're actually pleased to see, even if this new teaser trailer hints at a re-run of the first film. But then the first Nanny McPhee was a really good, really smart kids' movie, that benefited enormously from having an actress with the calibre of Emma Thompson at its heart.
The first film was a self-contained fairy tale, really, so there's no desperate need for a sequel, but we're still quite keen to see how it pans out. Universal has thus released this first trailer for the film that will be arriving in cinemas in 2010.
Entitled Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang, the film is due out in the UK on 26th March, and Thompson once more has also written the screenplay, based on the books by Christianna Brand. Co-starring this time are Dame Maggie Smith, Bill Bailey (yay!), Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Gyllenhaal and, if we're not very much mistaken, Sam Kelly from ‘Allo ‘Allo. Now you can't go wrong with a cast like that.
Here's that trailer...
