Paranormal Activity: the new trailer
Simon Brew
The low-budget scare-fest, Paranormal Activity, gets a new trailer as it continues its assault on the US box office…
Published on Oct 19, 2009
Fresh off the back of coining in $20m in the US over the last weekend, with the promise of an even wider release in time for next, Paranormal Activity now finds itself with $33m to its name, a total that's set to at least double by the time it leaves US cinemas.
Given the miniscule budget for the film, it's likely to wind upm as the most profitable film of the year. After all, the film's worldwide roll-out is yet to come, although given how cautiously and carefully Paramount has orchestrated the US release, that may yet take some time. We're currently set to get the film in the UK from 27th November, with the European release going right through to the end of January.
To help stoke the fires a little though, Paramount has released a second trailer for the film. It keeps things brief and to the point, and is gone in around a minute. But you can't argue that it's quite an effective little teaser for the film.
