We're still struggling with the fact that The Expendables got pushed back to August 2010 from its original April release slot. The bringing together on the big screen the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, The Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Ivan Drago and a whole host more has had us excited since pretty much day one, and the fact that we have to wait four months longer than originally planned was news we did not take well.

But still: here's the trailer to keep us busy for the time being.

Our understanding is that the scene with Arnie and Bruce Willis is yet to be shot (surely the De Niro/Pacino moment of action cinema), but writer/director Stallone has been keen to get as many faces as he can in his first trailer. And to be fair, there are signs here that we should be getting what the majority of us suspect we're signing up for.

Action, wisecracks, action stars? It's just a pity we're going to have to wait so long to see it.
