The early reviews for Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium Of Doctor Paranassus have been really quite positive, citing something of a return to form for the director. Of course, most of the press generated by the production to date has centred around the fact that it's Heath Ledger's last film role, given that he tragically died while the film was in production. Yet it seems that Gilliam's decision to press ahead and finish the film has been vindicated.

The film itself actually arrives in the UK next week, on 16th October, with its US release not taking place until Christmas Day (where it will get a limited opening).
