Calling all pumpkin carvers
Gaye Birch
It's nearly Halloween! And we want your pumpkins!

Handy with a blade? Not put off by the sight of gourd guts or squished squash?
Maybe you just have a little extra aggression you need to get out in a creative way - that doesn't get you fired, divorced or jailed.
We're here for you.
Why not try your hand at some pumpkin peeling, paring, stabbing and skinning?
We're accepting submissions of your pumpkin art - jack-o'-lanterns that you've carved featuring a movie, TV, comics or game theme or face - to be displayed in a gallery at the end of the month to help your fellow geeks get into a good and gruesome mood for Halloween, and simultaneously show off your slicing skills, naturally.
You might find some inspiration here. Multiple entries are welcome, if you happen to be a serial gourd embowelling butcher.
So hone those knives, start your attacks and email pictures of the results to geekcontent@gmail.com including the name or username to be credited for the handiwork.
Have fun. Carve carefully. And send those snaps in sharpish, please.
