Saw 6: brand new trailer
Simon Brew
How’s this for a trailer that lets you know exactly where you stand? It’s the latest promo for Saw VI…

"If it's Hallowe'en, it must be Saw."
Is there a reason why the trailers for Saw 6 are being kept quite so brief, we wonder? Usually when the second trailer for a film comes around, it tends to be the full length version, following an earlier teaser. Saw 6 has already had one teaser trailer but here's basically another.
It does its job, to be fair. Jigsaw is still around, looking older but still not bad for a man who died many films back. There are women screaming. There are torture devices. It's a trailer that just lets you know it's a Saw film, and it's seemingly full of the same stuff that has turned people on and off to the franchise in roughly equal measure.
One thing, though. Back when the Police Academy franchise was churning out laboured versions of the same film time after time in the 80s and 90s, it got lambasted for it. Saw movies? They just keep raking in the cash.
Saw 6 is out on 23rd October, and don't worry if you don't like it this time. There's another one coming next year...
