Re: New images from Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of TimeFingers crossed that is NOT the final font for the poster. Looks like font for a Ridley Scott- Denzel Washington Middle East-set political action-thriller.
Re: New images from Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Timei have absolutely zero interest in this, but i can't help thinking, is there not an actor of Persian descent who could be playing the prince of persia? i'm just waiting for spike lee & the blackface heated debate to start again

Or at least middle eastern descent. (Actually his mother is Jewish so I suppose that fits as middle eastern.) To be fair Jake Gyllenhaal looks quite good in the role though and he could pass for Persian in those pictures. The lady though... she is very beautiful, but a Persian princess she is not. |

So just how is Jake Gyllenhaal shaping up as the Prince of Persia?
Next summer sees the latest attempt to make a compelling, entertaining movie out of a videogame. Under the watchful eye of producer Jerry Bruckheimer, whose blockbuster hit rate is far more impressive than most, UbiSoft's Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time has been getting the big screen treatment, with the film now in post-production.
Wielding the megaphone has been Mike Newell, and taking the title role in the film is Jake Gyllenhaal. Sir Ben Kingsley, trying to put memories of the Thunderbirds movie far behind him, is taking on the role of the villain. The cast also featured Gemma Arterton and Doctor Octopus himself, Alfred Molina.
The movie isn't due out until 28th May, but we've got our hands on an array of fresh images, including behind the scenes stills, film shots and promotional art. Click on any of them to make them bigger, and we suspect we'll be getting the first trailer for the film before the year is out.
