George A Romero’s The Crazies is the latest off the remake production line – and the first poster has turned up…
Published on Sep 29, 2009
The latest George A Romero film to be remade, a brand new version of The Crazies is set to arrive in cinemas early next year. It's been put together under the stewardship of director Breck Eisner, who previously brought the world Matthew McConaughey in Sahara. Here, he's united Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell.
Arriving early next year, the remake of George A Romero's original once more sees a small town quickly turned upside down when most of its inhabitants start turning very violent indeed. Olyphant is taking on the role of the sheriff who has to work out just what's going on, while also trying to stay alive. That's in spite of the fact that the government has quarantined said town, with him and a few other unaffected still in it.
Currently scheduled for US release on February 26th, the first teaser poster for the film has now popped up at ShockTillYouDrop, and it's a nice piece of work, too. Click here if you want to see it bigger.
Also, out of interest, when did February suddenly become the second home for horror movies and thrillers like this? Shutter Island and The Wolf Man are already lined up for the middle of the month, and the rom-coms suddenly seem to be getting a real run for their money...
