Martin puts down his bag of humbugs and finally takes an interest in a full-length CGI movie...

The long-running theatrical trailer for the Robert Zemeckis CGI adaptation of A Christmas Carol finally went online yesterday. I'm not DoG's primary resource for full-length CGI movies (which would be Simon), but this finally caught my eye for what looks like a spectacular and evocative CGI recreation of Victorian London, something I have been ravening to see for many years. This could be very good indeed...

When I saw this advertised on the main page I thought "Not another one." Looking at the trailer though it looks rather wonderful.
And Scrooge on a rocket. Whoda thought?

That looks brilliant, Polar Express is one of my favourite movies to make you feel christmassy, so this could be a contender. And Bob Hoskins as Fezziwig! genius

Definitely based on Old Man Steptoe eh? Anyway, nothing, and I mean NOTHING, surpasses the animated vrsion I saw on the telly about 30 years ago-that was special and I've spent years trying to find it
