Rambo 5: Stallone seals the deal

More violent derring-do on the way from the Vietnam conflict's toughest veteran...
Published on Aug 31, 2009
Variety reports that John Rambo's fifth mission is gearing up in the wake of the incredibly violent but pretty successful 2008 sequel Rambo. Nu Image/Millennium Film announced that Sylvester Stallone will be following up the much-awaited Expendables with directing and acting duties on Rambo 5, as yet not officially titled.
The end of Rambo found our hero back in US territory, and the new movie pits the Vietnam vet against human traffickers and drug lords, as Rambo must rescue a kidnapped girl. Principal photography is set for spring, about when Expendables will be in cinemas.

A whole day went by without any fan reactions to this festive news! Although I enjoyed the return of the legendary bitter veteran, the new kidnap-rescue mission against drugs lords smells like a second-hand Steven Seagal scenario. Let's focus first on the Expendables, with that amazing cast of action heroes!!

Stallone, likely to be taking the direct approach once again in Rambo 5.
