New trailer for Roland Emmerich’s 2012

A bit of build up, then blanket special effects as the new trailer for 2012 arrives….
Published on Aug 27, 2009
In spite of it being delayed from its original summer slot, what we've seen of Roland Emmerich's incoming special effects-fest 2012 has been quite impressive. The film is basically about the day the world ends, and this latest trailer demonstrates some quite remarkable effects work, which has generally been at the heart of Emmerich's work.
Given then I'm the guy who liked The Day After Tomorrow, I must admit I'm quite looking forward to this. Say what you like about Emmerich, but he's got a track record in putting money on the screen, even if the film underneath all the effects work has rarely been anything to get too excited about.
This new 2012 trailer, incidentally, is the Japanese promo, but the vast bulk of it is in English, and it does show off a lot of material from the film that we've not seen before.
2012 arrives in cinemas on November 13th.
