Well cheers guys ... there's a nice devastating piece of news to ruin my cornflakes this morning! So can we expect the special features to follow in the footsteps of the film (and I use that term in its most loosest of sense) and drag on for what seems like a flippin' eternity without saying ANYTHING in the least bit interesting ... not to mention making you wish you'd packed a spare pair of industrial earplugs? Huh, to think that there was a day when a little news story such as this would have awakened my inner child once more and sent him a-skipping over to Play or Amazon to preorder his, no doubt, "Exclusive Limited Edition Ultimate Bayhem 5 Disc Super Slomo Deluxe Transforming Tin Boxset" ... alas, all it does now is reopen old wounds and make me look forward to a potential Apocalypse in the next few months to lighten my mood!

Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen DVD and Blu-ray release date

Mark it in your diaries – 30th November will see Michael Bay’s Transformers 2 arriving on DVD and Blu-ray…

It's expected to be the biggest selling DVD and Blu-ray of the season, and it now seems that those furiously awaiting the arrival of Transformers 2 in their homes have until 30th November to wait. That's the believed release date, according to TheTransformers.Net, for a trio of DVD editions and a single Blu-ray release into the UK.

That would likely mean that the US release is going to fall on 1st December, although that's us doing a little bit of guesswork.

There will, apparently, be a single disc edition, a two disc set and then a DVD double pack of the two Transformers movies. Then, the Blu-ray will be a three-disc affair, one of which is likely to be the ever-popular digital copy.

Cover artwork for the various releases has been circling online for the past few days, and an official announcement is expected in the next few months...

UPDATE (20/08/09): It's been announced today that the release date in the US for both DVD and Blu-ray discs of Revenge Of The Fallen is 20th October.
