Edward James Olmos joins The Green Hornet

Battlestar Galactica's Admiral Adama signs up to join Seth Rogen in The Green Hornet...
Published on Aug 11, 2009
A quick story, but a fine one. After some rumours that The Green Hornet project was being derailed, Seth Rogen's assertions that everything was on track have proven very much correct. And with the film shortly to go before the cameras, the final pieces of the casting jigsaw are falling into place.
Alongside Rogen himself in the title role (and he co-wrote the script too, incidentally), there's Nicolas Cage and Cameron Diaz, and Jay Chou has been confirmed as Stephen Chow's replacement as Kato. Michel Gondry is calling the shots behind the camera.
And now? One of our favourite actors, Admiral Adama himself, is also joining the party. Edward James Olmos told Hollywood Snitch that he was heading off to film a role in the film, although at this stage, it's unclear what the role will be, and whether we're looking at a cameo or something more substantial.
Frankly, we're of the view, post-Battlestar Galactica, that there's nothing Olmos shouldn't be cast in. Heck, get him in one of those scary looking High School Musical movies. He'd soon sort them out...
The Green Hornet arrives next summer. Looking forward to it now...
