Warner Bros "not considering" Batman Vs Superman date change

Warner Bros is refusing to budge in the Captain America 3 against Batman Vs Superman release date battle...

We're still convinced that at some point, one of Marvel or Warner Bros will blink - probably Warner Bros - but right now both are laying claim to May 6th 2016 as a release date for a major feature. Marvel has confirmed its plans to release Captain America 3 on that date, whilst Warner Bros also has Zack Snyder's Batman Vs Superman scheduled for the same date (with a UK release a week earlier).

At this stage though, we're still at the point where both studios beat their respective chests and face each other out. As such, Dan Fellman - the president of domestic (US) distribution for Warner Bros - has confirmed to Bloomberg that while "it doesn't make a lot of sense for two huge superhero films to open on the same date", Warner Bros is "not considering a change of date for Batman Vs Superman". Note too that Fellman called the film Batman Vs Superman, which is still an unofficial title.

We're not too sure we believe Dan about not considering a(nother) release date change though, but even he notes that "there is a lot of time between now and May 6th 2016". It's hard to foresee both films coming out the same day and not taking a degree of damage for it. But then, in truth, it's hard to foresee both films coming out the same day...
