Zombieland: the red band trailer

Aiming to snap up a bit of Shaun Of The Dead territory, horror comedy Zombieland has got itself a brand new trailer…

Published on Aug 6, 2009

"It's like a greatest hits collection of nightmares."

First things first, a bit of business. The trailer down at the bottom there, awaiting the click of your mouse, is not for the anklebiters. If you're under 18, you're not allowed to click on it. Sorry.

For the rest of you, Columbia seems to have high hopes for its upcoming horror comedy Zombieland. Starring Woody Harrelson, Adventureland's Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone, it follows some of the few remaining non-zombies in a world overrun by the walking dead.

On the basis of the trailer, Harrelson in particular seems to be having a hoot, and while we don't yet see anything of Shaun Of The Dead standard here, we like the subtle piss take of Forrest Gump, and Woody crying like he did when he saw Titanic. Harrelson, though, may well justify the asking price alone here.

The film is out on 9th October in the US, and follows three weeks later in the UK. And here's that trailer...

Looks ok. Nice variant on the old third finger gag there.
