Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones trailer

Peter Jackson's film of Alice Sebold's The Lovely Bones is but months away, and the first trailer for it is right here...

"Don't be afraid..."
You can't accuse Peter Jackson, even with his quieter projects, of taking things easy. Following up his Lord Of The Rings trilogy and King Kong remake, Jackson declared that he was looking for a more modest production for his next film, and promptly set off adapting Alice Sebold's haunting book, The Lovely Bones. It's as far removed from a flat out commercial property as you can arguably get, and Jackson has gathered together Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz, Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci to star in his adaptation.
The film arrives in US cinemas this Christmas (on 11th December to be precise), with a UK release following on January 29th. And the first full-length trailer for the film has now been released over at Apple.com. It seems to see Jackson operating somewhere between his astounding Heavenly Creatures and some of the striking visuals of his more recent films, and the trailer strikes us as really tight and tense.
Take a look for yourself and see what you think...
