“You’re terrible late, you know. Naughty!”

Here's hoping that this one turns out as well as it could. Tim Burton's upcoming 3D film of the classic Alice In Wonderland tale has already got us interested, courtesy of the previously-released character photos that leads you suspecting that this could be an ideal match up of director and material.

The film is due out next Spring (on March 10th, to be exact), and stars Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham-Carter (of course), and you can catch a first glimpse of it now because the first teaser trailer for the movie has just been released.

As usual, it doesn't give too much away - although given how familiar the source material is, that should be less of a problem than usual anyway! - but we do get some clues about the visual styling that Burton has employed. Early signs? It's looking really quite smart, and there's no reason here to be discouraged.

Mark this as a potential big hit for 2010...
