Kevin Spacey back for Superman
Simon Brew
The sixth Superman film is in the early stages, and Spacey has already signed on the dotted...

It’s fair to say that Superman Returns was the epitomy of an audience-splitter.
But while no rival to the first time movies of the Christopher Reeve era, this particular writer quite liked it. Sure, it was low on action, and yes, the character development laboured a little, but it was a superhero movie that bothered to try and have some substance to it, and for that surely we should be grateful?
Anyroad, the point of this is the news that Kevin Spacey has agreed to step back into the shoes/dodgy outfit/wig of Lex Luthor, for the sequel that Bryan Singer will again be at the helm for.
Running under the title Superman: The Man Of Steel, the film is due for release in 2009, is set to shoot next year, and will once again see Brandon Routh stepping into the blue tights.
Singer has already promised a lot more action this time round, and we expect the likes of Kate Bosworth and Parker Posey to sing back up too.
That is all we know so far. So for once, we won’t waffle. Result.

Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor. Not hairy.
