2012: brand new trailer here
Simon Brew
Roland Emmerich’s 2012 is arriving before the year is out. Here’s the brand new trailer to give you a taste of what’s to come…
Published on Jun 19, 2009
Originally planned for release this summer, Sony shunted back the release of Roland Emmerich's upcoming 2012 until the winter to give it a bit of breathing room. After all, with science fiction themes rife in Star Trek and Terminator: Salvation, it surely made more sense to put it in the same release frame as, er, James Cameron's Avatar, arguably the most expensive science fiction film made to date.
We're hoping that 2012 will be an improvement over Emmerich's last, the woeful 10,000 BC, and this time, he's switched his attention to the last day of earth. Catch the trailer, introduced by the nice, friendly, Mr Emmerich - who gave the world Independence Day, remember - right underneath these words...
