The Michael J Fox 80s classic Teen Wolf could be getting a makeover…

The latest from our ‘is nothing sacred' department is the news that the cult 1980s Michael J Fox comedy Teen Wolf could well be in line for the remake treatment. The original film, directed by Rod Daniel (who also made K-9, fact fans), has now fallen into the ownership of Warner Bros, and the studio is keen to explore a possible remake.

MovieHole, the site that broke the story, reports that the studio is on the hunt for writers for the project, and we agree with its assessment that Warner Bros may well be on the lookout for projects for Zac Efron. We suspect he'll struggle to match just how perfectly Michael J Fox fitted the role first time round if he does get the job, though. We should point out that the Efron suggestion is pure speculation, and Warner Bros hasn't yet commented on the story. But it's all depressingly plausible...

Just a heads-up for fans -the orignal airs this week on Sky Movies Modern Greats, Sunday 21st June at 8:00pm and 3:50am 22 June.

yeah i'm a fan too! love this movie and the thought of Zac Efron even being involved in a movie remake from the "is nothing sacred" department makes my blood boil!
