Judy Greer talks Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes
Judy Greer is one of the many new additions to the cast of Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. Here's what she has to say about the film...
Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes was something of a surprise given how the trailers that ran ahead of its release were somewhat uninspiring, and there wasn't a massive interest in the movie prior to its release. But, as history told, the final product ended up being one of the highlights of the year. The sequel then is hotly anticipated. Sadly, Rupert Wyatt isn't returning to direct this time around. However a more than capable replacement comes in the form of Matt Reeves. And from his recent descriptions, the film is a very ambitious one indeed.
Another new addition to the production is Judy Greer who will be playing ape Cornelia and in a recent interview with Empire, she has been talking about her experiences on the film to date. "I saw her! [VFX supervisor] Dan Lemmon, who is one of the guys working on the look of the apes and my boss, showed me a picture of her on my first day of shooting. I couldn't believe it. It took my breath away seeing her. She's so beautiful and regal and feminine. I really felt like I was looking at a lady", Greer recalled.
She continued, adding "Andy Serkis is the master, but Terry Notary is the godfather, so he taught me everything I know. I got there late in the process, so I learned a lot on set from my amazing fellow apes. They were helping me out – when we were waiting around for set-ups, I'd be, 'Can we practice quad walking? Can I get on my half-crutches? Is this good?' 'No, keep your butt down!'"
Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is set for release on July 17th 2014
