Anna Paquin wants to go Rogue again, in the upcoming X-Men movie...
Published on Jun 4, 2009
Just the other day, we were reporting on Ryan Reynolds talking about the latest spin-off from the X-Men franchise, Deadpool. However, there's also Wolverine 2 and X-Men Origins: Magneto in the works, as well as X-Men: First Class, with the latter designed to feature some of the younger characters in the franchise.
While we don't think that First Class will be the next X-Men adventure to hit the big screen, Anna Paquin has nonetheless been talking about being involved in the project. Paquin played Rogue in the first three X-Men movies, and in conversation with the fine folks at IGN, she's admitted that she'd love to return to the role.
She does note in the interview, however, that "I would hope I could do a little bit more action next time, though. I kind of find it ironic that I did three big action films and did, actually, no action whatsoever. I mean I got some really amazing emotional story moments, but I didn't really get to do the physical stuff."
Short of the fact that Josh Schwartz, he of The O.C. and Chuck fame, is writing the screenplay, there's been little heard on the First Class project for a few months now. We'll keep you posted of further developments....
