The A-Team: Bradley Cooper cast as Face?

At last, the big screen A-Team movie finally seems to be gathering some momentum. We're still in two minds about the project, but following last week's confirmation that rapper Commons is to play B.A. Baracus in the film, it now seems that Bradley Cooper has bagged himself the role of Face.

We talked about Bradley Cooper last week as a possible candidate to play The Green Lantern, a role that he was apparently very much in the running for. Yet given that he's now likely to be spending much of the next year shooting The A-Team with director Joe Carnahan, it's fair to say that's now unlikely.

The story was unearthed by IESB.net as part of a series of interviews for upcoming comedy The Hangover, in which Cooper stars. Cooper had this to say on the film: "Wow. Yeah...its Joe Carnahan's. It's very interesting. It'll be cool. It will be cool see what...He'll make a great movie out of it."

No official confirmation has been forthcoming, and currently, The A-Team still has a release slot for next June. They'd better get a plan together for the rest of the cast though soon, else they're going to struggle to get on that particular plane. Sorry...
