Loads of Predators for Rodriguez

Well, at least two. Can James Cameron's plural ploy weave Aliens' box-office magic for the lesser half of the AVP franchise..?

Robert Rodriguez is set to reboot Fox's Predator franchise on the 'give 'em more' principle that inspired James Cameron to pluralize Ridley Scott's original movie for his 1986 hit Aliens.
Rodriguez made the announcement at the signing of the HB 873 reform of the Texas film incentive program. Rodriguez announced a slate of movies so vast as to make Sir Ridley Scott look like a slacker at the back of the class:
"I'm going to be able to shoot my upcoming Machete here, a sci-fi action film called Nervewrackers, a re-boot of the Predator series called Predators, and a couple of smaller movies called Sin City 2 and The Jetsons."
Of course, Rodriguez is not actually going to direct all of those films, but he will be at the helm for Predators.
To call the news 'sketchy' is to dignify the it, and it's not known what continuity, if any, there'll be with the existing Predator or AVP movies. Frankly, there's no real reason to start over, given that every outing with the Pred seems to get closed up in an Area 51-style cloak of mystery.
