John Dies At The End: a fabulous new poster
Bubba Ho-Tep director Don Coscarelli's forthcoming comic horror flick John Dies At The End has a new poster, which we rather like...
Director Don Coscarelli's been responsible for some truly classic geek movies, from the superbly odd Phantasm series, via the cult 80s fantasy The Beastmaster, to the 2002 masterpiece, Bubba Ho-Tep.
With a track record like that, it's no surprise that we're looking forward to seeing his next film, John Dies At The End - an adaptation of David Wong's novel which appears to contain all the horror and comedy we'd associate with Coscarelli's name.
The story's about two 20-somethings who stumble upon a drug called Soy Sauce, which gives its users the kind of godlike powers you might associate with a Philip K Dick novel. This drug, it turns out, is the key to a strange, supernatural conspiracy. John Dies also stars Paul Giamatti, which can only be a good thing.
John Dies At The End appeared at Sundance last year, but doesn't come out in the US until the 25th January, with the UK release following on the 22nd March. To prepare our minds for the inevitable onslaught of weirdness, Coming Soon has published an extremely handsome poster, which is, as we'd expect, ominous and quirky at the same time.
