RZA lines up future projects
With the release of The Man With the Iron Fists imminent, RZA lines up more directorial projects.
Having had a hand in numerous great albums and film scores, Friday will see the release of RZA's directorial debut The Man With The Iron Fists in America. He hasn't let this small matter deter him from working on future projects though. He has already confirmed to direct an adaptation of Grant Morrison's Happy, and now it has emerged that he is lining up a further two projects.
The first will see him directing a Genghis Khan project, based on a script by John Millius' which has been knocking around for some time now. Given the levels of violence that will no doubt be involved in the film, RZA certainly seems a good fit in that department.
The second project is the action thriller No Man's Land, written by Trey Ellis and David Klass. It's meant to share similarities with The Warriors as the action takes place over the course of one night, and follows a man who steals a diamond from a criminal and teams up with a dancer to try and stay alive and then sell said diamond.
It would seem that No Man's Land will be the immediate follow up to The Man With the Iron Fists as it requires less preparation than the other two, but all of the above projects sound really quite exciting.
