Johnny Depp is set to join the usual suspects in Wes Anderson's next film, The Grand Budapest Hotel...

With this years Moonrise Kingdom earning considerable praise on the way to becoming a box office success, Wes Anderson is successfully marrying up critical acclaim and audience interest in a way many directors would deeply aspire to. And he's already eyeing up his next project, too, which was announced last week as The Grand Budapest Hotel. This time, plans are afoot to add a big name or two as well to his usual company of actors.

One of the names rumoured last week was Johnny Depp, and the actor's role has now officially been confirmed, with him joining a cast that will potentially include Jude Law, Ed Norton, Adrien Brody, Willem Defoe, Bill Murray, Angela Lansbury, Jeff Goldblum and Owen Wilson. Depp is currently working on The Lone Ranger but has found space in his schedule after the remake of The Thin Man he was set to appear in has been delayed.

Little is known of the plot of the film at this stage but we’ll bring you news on it as and when it’s available.
