Is Lionsgate already thinking about remaking Twilight?
Could a remake of the Twilight movies be in cinemas soon? That's the rumour that's currently doing the rounds online...
The Twilight saga hasn't even concluded yet, but rumours are already circulating that a remake could be in the offing, and production could begin on one as early as next year.
According to Bloody Disgusting (whose news reaches us via Bleeding Cool), Lionsgate are quietly planning to produce some remakes of the movies, starting with the original released in 2007. "In fact, they’re already discussing it internally," Bloody Disgusting insist. "It will happen. Not trolling, it’s real. Though expect them to deny it for a little while."
Now, there's no clue as to where this information comes from, and just as Bloody Disgusting said they would, Lionsgate has already denied the rumours.
For now, it's difficult to take seriously but, with Breaking Dawn Part 2 concluding the Twilight saga, and author Stephanie Meyer apparently finished with the series in its book form, it's just possible that a remake or reboot of sorts may be at least under consideration at Lionsgate's offices.
If we hear of any evidence, we'll be sure to let you know.
