Funny People trailer
Simon Brew
Adam Sandler. Seth Rogen. Eric Bana. Judd Apatow. Is Funny People the comedy to earmark this summer? Here’s a trailer to give you a taste…

It was only yesterday that we brought you a trailer to a new Seth Rogen film, and just 24 hours later, we’re doing it again.
It’s fair to say though that Funny People is the one that’s currently looking like the banker, given the wealth of comedy talent it brings together. Firstly, there’s Adam Sandler, who’s needed a film with a good script and director for a couple of years now. Then there’s Rogen, working once more with his Knocked Up director Judd Apatow. And for the latter, despite his name being linked with lots of comedies over the past few years, this is only the third movie he’s directed, after the aforementioned Knocked Up, and his debut The 40 Year Old Virgin.
It’s quite a long trailer by standards, and crams what seems like an awful lot of plot into it. But there are some trademark Apatow lines in there (as well as Eric Bana in a comedy, which seems to be long overdue), and – if the trailer really hasn’t given everything away – it could be worth looking forward to.
Here’s the trailer…
