William Sadler’s Grim Reaper returning for Bill & Ted 3?
As Bill & Ted 3 awaits the formal green light, William Sadler has revealed that the Grim Reaper might just be making a return appearance if the film goes ahead…
The third Bill & Ted film is apparently now sat awaiting a green light, with a screenplay for the project in place. We suspect its prospects haven’t been radically helped by the less-than-expected box office performance of American Reunion, the belated new American Pie sequel. But even so, a third Bill & Ted adventure does seem to be edging closer to happening.
And, according to William Sadler, than aforementioned screenplay might just see a returning familiar face.
Chatting to Movieweb, Sadler revealed that the character of the Grim Reaper, as seen in Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, is set for a comeback.
“I'm not sure if it's a done deal yet”, he told the site. “ I know they're trying to write The Grim Reaper in. Alex [Winter] said, “How could we do this without the Reaper?””
“I'm hopeful”, he added. “I'd love to go back and play with those guys again. That was one of the most fun roles I've done. I'll be there in a heartbeat, if they want to do it.”
We hope he gets the chance to do the film, too. There are, after all, board games that Death hasn’t played yet. We’ll keep you posted…
