Two must-see new trailers: Super and Attack The Block
Two films that may have come out of nowhere for some, but should be firmly on your radar. Here are the trailers for James Gunn’s Super, and Joe Cornish’s Attack The Block…
For reasons we won't bore you with, we weren't about as much as we'd have liked towards the end of last week. And one big consequence of this is that we didn't bring you these two trailers earlier. Because this is a pair of films we want to shout very, very loudly about.
Firstly, James Gunn's Super, which wins big points from the off for us for putting Rainn Wilson in a leading role. Then there's Nathan Fillion, which sends our geekbumps off the scale. And there's still room for Ellen Page and Kevin Bacon.
Most importantly, though, this trailer is brilliant. It's clearly got a tinge of Kick-Ass to it, but if they don't start making T-shirts of Rainn Wilson shouting "Shut up, crime!" before the end of the year, then there's madness in the world.
And then there's Joe Cornish's Attack The Block. A trailer that came pretty much out of nowhere and spread like wildfire around the web at the end of last week. It's about aliens that have landed very much in the wrong place. In this case, a council estate in South London, where the residents might just be up for the fight.
Again, this looks brilliant, and the trailer is packed with cracking lines, too. Consider this, and Super, right up at the top of our to-watch list...
