Dark Knight sequel: new Catwoman rumours

So who is being linked with Selina Kyle now?

Published on Dec 15, 2008

Just the other week, Christopher Nolan admitted that he’d started jotting down a few ideas for a third stint in the Batman director’s chair. And given the continual swirl of rumours surrounding his choice of villain for the next Batman movie, we wonder if Catwoman will be his foe of choice.

Earlier this year, we presented our choice of actress to play Catwoman , but we missed the current name circling around off our list (although it did, to be fair, crop up in the Comments section). And that’s Rachel Weisz, who a couple of sources – including Blast here  - are now citing as under consideration to play Selina Kyle. While Tilda Swinton remains our favoured option, Weisz – who is about to start work on Phillip Noyce’s Dirt Music, possibly alongside Russell Crowe – isn’t the worst shout.

We still take all of this with a pinch of salt, though. Experience has taught us that until Mr Nolan has something to say on the matter, then it’s pretty much all speculation…
