Brand new trailer for Machete

The first ‘real’ trailer for Machete, which premiered earlier this year, has to go down as one of our favourites of recent times. We had it pretty much on loop for far longer than we’d care to admit. And if its job was to sell us a movie ticket, then it was very much mission accomplished.

This latest trailer which premiered at IGN, though, plays things a little bit straighter, and does feel a little less for it. It’s still great to see Danny Trejo headlining a movie, especially one of this ilk, and the pay-off line at the end of the trailer is great. But this is presumably a slightly more mainstream attempt to sell the film.
