New movie stills appear for Machete

20th Century Fox has unleased a salvo of promotional stills for Machete, Robert Rodriguez’s forthcoming exploitation movie pastiche. By now, you’ll have almost certainly seen the excellent Machete feature trailer, which featured nuns with guns and a gattling gun mounted on the front of a motorbike, and surely ranks among the most entertaining promo clips we’ve seen all year.
The stills shown here continue the 70s, tacky look displayed in the trailer, and showcase Machete’s excellent cast, which includes Jessica Alba, Robert De Niro, Don Johnson, and of course Danny Trejo as the vengeful ex-federale of the title.
Best of all, there’s a further glimpse of Trejo engaged in an armed duel with Steven Seagal – now that’s one scene we genuinely can’t wait to see.
Machete is due for release on 3 September in the US, but we don't get it in the UK until 29 October. Bah.
