Arrested Development movie dead?

The planned film of Arrested Development is “not going to happen” according to David Cross…

Aw, now here's a piece of crappy news to end the week with.

The mooted movie of Arrested Development, which appeared to be gaining some traction earlier in the year, is apparently now not going to be happening anytime soon.

The news comes via David Cross, who played Tobias Funke in the show. He told TV Squad that "It's not going to happen."

He added, "Way too much time it's been (since the show ended). I mean, there's so many people involved. Everyone's doing their own thing, you know. And everybody's aged. It's just not going to happen. I'm sure I speak for everybody when I say we'd love for it to happen, we'd love to work on it, but just I don't think... not going to happen."

This, friends, is not happy news at all, and it's looking increasingly likely that the three seasons of the show that we got is all we're getting.

Here's the fuller piece at TV Squad.
