Dinner For Schmucks: the first trailer
Steve Carell and Paul Rudd star in one of the summer’s highest profile comedies. Here’s the first trailer for Dinner For Schmucks…
Last year, Paul Rudd was at the forefront of two of the best Hollywood comedies we've seen in some time. Role Models was the first, and I Love You, Man was the second. Both gave him an overdue major leading role, and both also delivered box office numbers. Plus, let's not beat about the bush here, both were funny, not least the quite brilliant Role Models, a film we rewatch with increasing regularity
This summer, he's going to be heading up a comedy again, this time starring alongside Steve Carell (shortly to be seen next to Tina Fey in Date Night) in Dinner For Schmucks. This is the Hollywood remake of the French movie Le Diner De Cons, and among the supporting cast here you'll also find Flight Of The Conchords' Kristen Schaal and Jemaine Clement, along with The Hangover's Zach Galifianakis.
The film's directed by Jay Roach (which is the reason he didn't helm the third Meet The Parents movie, Little Fockers, which is coming out at Christmas), and in advance of its 23rd July US bow (we get it over here on 20th August), the first trailer has been released.
Take a look and see what you think...
