Harrison Ford in Crossing Over: new trailer

Want to know what Harrison Ford did after Indiana Jones? Catch a glimpse right here…

For years, there’s been some frustration that Harrison Ford was passing over seemingly interesting roles in favour of easy, blockbuster fare. His decision to turn down, for instance, the Michael Douglas role in Traffic looked all the more baffling to those who sat through something like Hollywood Homicide, and his output over the past decade has been tepid at best.
But could things be changing? Because off the back of his worldwide success with Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull comes his second release this year, Crossing Over. It’s far more serious fare, too, directed by Wayne Kramer (who made the terrific The Cooler), which sees Ford playing a member of the “immigration Gestapo”. Co-stars include Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd, Sean Penn and Jim Sturgess.
The film is a multi-character drama focusing on immigrants trying to legally be allowed to live in Los Angeles, and inevitably that means that a trailer is going to struggle to contain the film. So it proves here, as it’s a bit uneven, but looks interesting enough to keep an eye on.
