While the attention of the cinema-going public is (rightly) on Joss Whedon's terrific The Avengers movie right now, there's another treat that's getting ever closer. It's the final visit to Christopher Nolan's take on Batman and Gotham City, in the shape of The Dark Knight Rises.
Warner Bros has, therefore, released a couple of hi-res stills from the film, and there's also one here that's popped up in the new issue of Total Film. Usual drill, then: click on any of them to make them bigger. And we'll have (a lot) more on The Dark Knight Rises soon...

This could turn out to be a very good year for blockbusters. I'm really looking forward to the Caped Crusaders last bow in this incarnation, but what next? Time will tell...
What next? I'd say with The Avengers having made the insane amount of money it has, it would be completely shocking if the next time we saw Batman on screen he wasn't flanked by his Justice League pals.
But we'll see...
