An ad featuring Raquel Welch from the time before hunger robbed modern stars of their critical faculties regarding the 'ideal shape'...
Published on Jan 10, 2009
There was a time when the emaciation currently fashionable in Hollywood (and, sadly, beyond) was a 'problem'. We should remember that this ad also comes from the age of Twiggy, that the anti-size-zero argument is not a new one and that this ad itself marginalises a different type of female body-shape. But it is food for thought. And food - in sensible amounts - might not be a bad thing.
