Microsoft has announced the XBLA games that'll make up this year's Summer of Arcade store event...

It's that time of year again, folks. The summer gaming drought is looming, a time that's traditionally lacking in major releases and new games to play, and this year Microsoft is continuing its yearly effort to keep the games coming via XBLA, and a new line up has been revealed

The four games to help keep your thumbs busy over the slower period have been announced in the official Summer of Arcade trailer, which you can find below. These games will be released across the month of August.

The first up is Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons on August 7. Allowing players to control two characters at the same time, the game features a unique single-player take on co-op, and it'll release for 1,200 MS Points.

Next up will be a cartoon-style side scrolling beat 'em up from the maker of The Dishwasher. Charlie Murder, sees the titular punk rock band do battle with rivals, death metellers, Gore Quaffer in an RPG/scrapper hybrid. This will cost 800 MS Points and arrives on August 14.

The third entry will be of interest to veteran gamers, as it's Ubisoft's HD remake of the classic Delphine title, Flashback. Introducing some new gameplay elements along with lush HD visuals, this will be yours for 800 MS Points on August 21.

The final release will bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles back to our screens on August 28. TMNT: Out of the Shadows will be a 3D beat 'em up that pits the mutated foursome against their long time enemy, the Foot Clan. It'll cost 1,200 Ms Points.

Gamers will also be rewarded if they buy two or more of the above titles with an Ascend: Hand of Kul souls pack for free.
