WWE '14 coming in October
The WWE's series of games has found a new home at 2K, and is on track for a release this year...
One of THQ's biggest licenses, the WWE series of games has made its transition to new owner, 2K, despite not much being said about the wrestling title since THQ's spectacular crash. A recent press release has confirmed that the next iteration of the game, WWE '14, will be coming in October.
The release also confirmed that the existing WWE team has made the transition with the title, so the series won't be affected in any great way. WWE '13 will continue to be supported too, and the existing community, which is one of the most loyal in the industry, will still be looked after.
It's good news for fans of the WWE and its gaming series, although, those who consider the recent releases as a stream of upgrades, rather than new games may have preferred new blood take the helm. Still, with 2K now behind it, the series could head in a different direction. We'll see later on this year.
WWE '14 will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 on October 29.
