Watch Dogs launch trailer

Trailer Aaron Birch 23 May 2014 - 07:55

Already a blockbuster before release, Ubisoft's Watch Dogs has a launch trailer, and here it is...

Watch Dogs is going to arrive next week, after a very long wait, and sheer anticipation along with the slew of previews and teasers has lead to many predicting it'll be game of the year material, and one of the best sandbox games ever.

Of course, we don't actually know if the game is any good yet, and with review embargoes for the title lifting on the day of release, some are worried Ubisoft isn't entirely happy with the game. After all, such press restrictions are often precursors to disappointment, and it's a tactic occasionally used by publishers to ensure sales for games that may not review as well as they'd hoped.

Surely this can't be the case for Watch Dogs, though? We hope not, and we sincerely hope that the game hits all the right notes and is the open-world, action hacker we've been waiting for. A bit of worry has crept in, though.

We'll find out how good the game is for certain on May 27 when it arrives on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC. The Wii U version will arrive at a later date. While you wait, have a look at the official launch trailer below.

Review embargoes suck, and are completely unnecessary, as long as you put out a good game. This actually, actively puts me off a day one purchase.

Couldn't agree more, I was all ready to go charging into town and fork over my money on Tuesday, I'll be waiting now, not cool ubisoft, not cool.
